Wall Tiles and Furniture

Aiming for Diverse Work Styles

Duration: 2024
Location: Tokyo, Japan
Client: Major Convenience Store Company
Materials: Low-value plastic – miscellaneous plastic waste that is difficult to recycle, such as food wrappers and plastic shopping bags.

Overview: We supplied office furniture and wall tiles for the headquarters of Japan's largest convenience store chain. The plastic bags used to wrap food and snacks sold in convenience stores are often referred to as low-value plastic, as opposed to PET bottles, which are more easily reused and recycled. Our company maximized the use of this common plastic waste to create beautiful office furniture. For the work area inspired by the outdoors, we supplied high stools and plant pots, as well as eye-catching wall tiles crafted by hand, one by one. Since they are made with a concrete base, the furniture is durable enough to be used indoors and outdoors for many years.
